- After reading a bunch of modern Marvel comics, I read this. The contrast was jarring. The art on this is superior. And the writing blows away the work of Aaron's Avengers, Lemire's X-Men, Soule's Wolverine, and Slott's Fantastic Four (the last two are poor).
The dialogue is very good. The plot, once you get past the beginning of the 10 v Skywatch fight and the slow formation of Storm Watch, is pretty complex. There are a lot of characters and various shifting alliances. At times, it's a little difficult to follow. It should be easier to read these all at once (volumes 1-3), instead of every six months.
A nice take on a great series from 20+ years ago. - Great retelling. Everything old is new again.
